Letter: Don’t be silent about silencers

By Paul Presler, VANCOUVER
Published: October 4, 2017, 6:00am

In the wake of the shooting in Vegas, there is something that you need to know.

Congress is expected to vote on the gun silencer bill this week. Why? They should never be used, period. But we know who is in control of Congress right now, so I’ll bet they vote in favor of it. This will make a police officer’s job a lot harder to handle, since they won’t know where a shot is coming from and drive-by shootings will escalate.

Call your Congress person and tell them to vote “no” on a bad idea.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
