Washougal – Washougal families and patrons are invited to a community open house at the new Columbia River Gorge Elementary School and replacement Jemtegaard Middle School, 35300 S.E. Evergreen Highway, Washougal, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Visitors will be allowed to go on self-guided tours with students and staff stationed throughout the building to answer questions. Guests will also receive a facility map and fact sheet.

Light refreshments prepared by Washougal High School culinary students will be served.

Funding for the 122,000-square-foot campus came from a $57.7 million bond voters in the district passed in February 2015.
