Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a Vancouver man whose body was found earlier this month in front of a business near Portland State University.

On Nov. 7, police were sent to 1717 S.W. Park Ave. to check out reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found the body of Diego Tejeda-Manzo, 21, of Vancouver. The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office determined he had died from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses reported seeing several people running from the location shortly after hearing gunfire.

Police learned that Nicholas L. Hannan, 19, had gone to a local hospital for treatment of an injury following the shooting, police reported. Police interviewed him at the hospital and remained with him while he received treatment.

He was released from the hospital Thursday, arrested and accused of murder, police said. He was lodged in the Multnomah County jail.

A man police identified as David M. Brown, 26, has been accused of third-degree assault, police said.
