Washougal — The Washougal Police Department joined with the Drug Enforcement Administration to hold a Drug Take Back event in Washougal on Oct. 28. Nearly 160 city residents safely disposed of 592.25 pounds of unused and unwanted medicated to local law enforcement officers and Unite! volunteers. All drugs were turned over to the administration. Kaiser Permanente supplied the county’s four drop-off sites with sharps containers to hand out to members who turned in sharps at the event, and Clark County Green Neighbors supplied scales for weighing medications and large drums for proper disposal of sharps.
