Sheriff’s office seeks help identifying theft suspect

Hitchhiker stole vehicle from gas station in Hazel Dell

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify a hitchhiking man who stole a vehicle from a Hazel Dell gas station Friday.

The man was picked up as a hitchhiker and stole a vehicle Friday when they stopped at the Jacksons Food Store and Shell station at 404 N.E. 78th St., according to the sheriff’s office.

Anyone who can identify the man pictured in surveillance footage is encouraged to contact Deputy Chris Story at chris.story@clark.wa.gov.
