Saturday saw season finales for many local football players at the NCAA Division-II level and smaller.
For others, the postseason has now arrived.
Central Washington, led by quarterback Reilly Hennessey (Camas) and linebacker Kevin Haynes (Battle Ground) wrapped up the Great Northwest Athletic Conference title with a win over Humboldt State.
The Wildcats (11-0) wrapped up a No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the NCAA Division-II playoffs. Central Washington will host the winner of No. 4 seed Winona State or No. 5 seed Texas A&M Commerce on Nov. 25.
Linfield (8-1), with kicker Willy Warne (Mountain View) and offensive lineman Matt Mateo (Skyview), will host Hardin-Simmons in the first round of the NCAA Division-III playoffs on Nov. 18.
And Southern Oregon (10-0), with receivers Jordan Suell (Fort Vancouver) and Parker Randle (Battle Ground), will host Dickinson State in the first round of the NAIA playoffs on Nov. 18.
