YALE — Those who drive state Highway 503, also known as Lewis River Road, east of Woodland should plan for a daytime detour due to hillside stabilization work next week.
Washington State Department of Transportation crews will temporarily close Highway 503 near Speelyai Bay Road for rock blasting on the slope above the road between noon to 4 p.m. Monday.
Detour signs will be posted. When the highway reopens, traffic will continue to alternate through a single lane until the work is finished.
Additional closures will be announced.
