The Clark College volleyball team had a chance to grab a share of the NWAC South Region lead on Saturday, however, No. 1-ranked Chemeketa had other ideas.

The Storm came away with a 3-1 win in Vancouver by scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20.

Chemeketa (23-4, 11-1 South) keeps a half-game lead over Linn-Benton (30-8, 11-2) and Clark (30-6, 10-3) slips to third place.

The good news for No. 4-ranked Clark is that the Penguins won’t finish any lower than the No. 3 seed from the region going into the NWAC Tournament.

Delaney Tuholski had 15 kills for Clark against Chemeketa. Mary Schorn had 20 digs, Megan Hess 20 assists and Olivia Jacoshenk 17 assists.

Clark finishes the regular season on Wednesday at Mt. Hood. The NWAC Tournament is Nov. 15-19 at Tacoma.
