The westbound offramp to Evergreen Boulevard on state Highway 14 will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

The city of Vancouver will be working on a water line improvement project where the offramp meets Sleret Avenue. The work is in preparation for a water line rehabilitation project to extend the life of a water main that crosses beneath the highway.

When the project gets underway in late November, the ramp will be closed daily between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The city said the work is scheduled during off-peak hours to reduce commuter impacts to those who use Evergreen Boulevard to get home in the evening.

The city encourages drivers to use caution when driving through the construction zone.
