A pedestrian struck while crossing Mill Plain Boulevard in east Vancouver Tuesday night remains in critical condition.

Jordan Castleberry, whose age and city of residence were not available, was hospitalized after he was struck by a westbound driver shortly before midnight Tuesday, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

Castleberry was crossing the road at Southeast Park Crest Avenue, Kapp said.

Witnesses said that the driver had a green light and was traveling near the speed limit at the time of the crash, Kapp said.

The driver who struck Castleberry, identified by police as Isabella Moua, was cooperative with police and there is no indication speed or impairment played a factor in the crash, Kapp said.

Traffic investigators are continuing their investigation.
