Bomb technicians were called to a Vancouver apartment complex after a mental health counselor was alerted to a possibly explosive device.
Clark County sheriff’s deputies were called to Azalea Place, 9002 N.E. 15th Ave., just after noon Thursday for a reported suspicious device.
One of the tenants had a device at his residence that staff could not identify, Sgt. Craig Randall said.
They were spooked, Randall said, because of the recent terror attack in England and the fact that the device was near some books that dealt with Sept. 11 conspiracies, Randall said.
Members of the regional bomb squad were called to the scene and determined that the device was various electronics, none of which were explosive, Randall said.
