Camas DECA has strong showing at international competition

Camas — Camas High School’s DECA chapter had its best showing at the DECA International Conference, bringing 25 members to the competition held April 27 to 29 in Anaheim, Calif. Camas had six students move on to the second day of competition. Liz Schwartkopf placed first in Automotive Services Marketing Series, Ashley Miles finished first in Restaurant and Food Service Management Series, Kevin Chen and Cami Kirby placed second in the Creative Marketing Project, and Skylar Becerra and Xiansheng Yan scored a top-10 finish in Business Service Operations Management. Roughly 20,000 DECA members and advisers took part in the festivities and competition. The club’s advisers are David Johnson and Suzie Downs.
