Alexa Efraimson of Camas was eighth out of 12 in the top heat of 1,500 meters at the USATF Distance Classic on Thursday at Occidental College in Los Angeles.
Efraimson, who runs for Nike, posted a time of 4 minutes, 10.12 seconds. She was listed as having the fastest split at 700 meters with a 1:07.25.
Canadian Sheila Reid of Nike Oregon Track Club Elite won the heat and had the fastest time of the three sections at 4:07.07. U.S. Olympian Shannon Rowbury of Nike Oregon Project was second in 4:07.17.
Of the 31 runners in the three sections of the 1,500, Efraimson’s time was 11th best.
