The victim of a stabbing outside a Hazel Dell bar was taken early Saturday morning to a Vancouver hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesman for the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a call at about 2:40 a.m. from Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital for a man who was brought there after being stabbed in the parking lot of 99 Saloon Bar and Grill, 7005 N.E. Highway 99. The man, who has not yet been identified, was taken by an acquaintance to the hospital.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds, according to the sheriff’s office. His condition was unknown Saturday afternoon.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office major crimes unit responded and after speaking with witnesses, identified the stabbing suspect as 26-year-old Daniel Perez Rodriguez of Vancouver.
Rodriguez was contacted by phone, and he agreed to meet with detectives. After being interviewed, he was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of first-degree assault. He will appear in Superior Court on Monday.
