Portland — Two luncheons, one in Portland and one in Clark County, collectively raised $375,000 for Meals on Wheels People. The nonprofit serves 1.3 million meals each year in Clark, Multnomah and Washington counties.
Meals on Wheels People is closing its dining room and delivery services at the Firstenburg Community Center at the end of June due to increasing costs and decreasing attendance. A cafe-style model may replace the dining room.
