Vancouver — Creating sanctuary, enkindling hope is the theme of this year’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast hosted by the Interfaith Coalition of Southwest Washington.

All are welcome to the breakfast happening 8 a.m. May 18 at Vancouver First United Methodist Church at 401 E. 33rd St.

Saghar Sadeghian will speak at the breakfast. She is a visiting assistant professor of history in the Middle East at Willamette University.

“Her primary research focuses on minority groups and modern citizenship in the Middle East with emphasis on Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan, and the questions of gender, race, religion and ethnicity,” according to a news release from the interfaith coalition.

After the talk by Sadeghian, there will be time for group conversations. RSVP for the breakfast by emailing SWWA.interfaith@gmail.com.
