A motorcyclist was hospitalized after colliding with another vehicle next to the Hazel Dell WinCo parking lot Thursday afternoon.

Ambulances and sheriff’s deputies were called to the intersection at Northeast Highway 99 and Northeast 96th Way around 1:30 p.m.

Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Tony Barnes said the man on the motorcycle was heading south on Highway 99. A man heading north turned left to enter the WinCo lot and apparently did not see the rider, hitting him, Barnes said.

The rider was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, Barnes said.

The sheriff’s office traffic team was investigating the crash, he said, and more information wasn’t immediately available.
