Police were unable to locate a man suspected of trying to rob a Rite Aid pharmacy Friday night in Vancouver’s Fircrest neighborhood.
The robbery was reported shortly before 7:40 p.m. at 13511 S.E. Third Way.
A Hispanic man handed a note to the pharmacy demanding medications. There was no mention or indication of weapons, Vancouver police Sgt. Pat Johns said.
An employee in the pharmacy told the suspect that they did not have the medications he was looking for so he left empty-handed, Johns said.
The suspect was last seen on foot heading westbound toward East Mill Plain Boulevard. There was no suspect vehicle information. A police canine was deployed to help search the surrounding area, but officers did not find the suspect, Johns said.
The man was described as clean-shaven and standing about 5-foot-4-inches tall, wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood up, gray and black sweatpants, and a purple glove on one hand.
