Four law enforcement agencies teamed up to do a traffic enforcement emphasis focused on pedestrian and cyclist safety Wednesday in Battle Ground.
Officers with the Battle Ground Police Department were joined by the La Center Police Department, Vancouver Police Department and Washington State Patrol for the operation.
In total, 86 violators were contacted within the city of Battle Ground. Officers wrote 28 tickets, gave 49 warnings and made three arrests for suspicion of driving with a suspended license, Battle Ground police reported.
The effort was funded by a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
