STEVENSON — State Highway 14 drivers traveling through the western portion of the Columbia River Gorge should expect possible delays for emergency road pavement repair.
Starting Friday, crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will repair sections of the highway damaged by harsh winter weather.
During daylight hours on dry days, there will be single-lane closures in either direction of state Highway 14. Delays could be as long as 20 minutes.
Repairs on stretches of Highway 14 farther east in Klickitat County are scheduled to begin in mid-April. All emergency repairs are expected to be finished by spring.
