Add another honor to the high school basketball career of Union’s Cameron Cranston.
Cranston was selected as the Class 4A state player of the year by the Associated Press on Monday.
Cranston averaged 19.3 points a game this season in leading the Titans to the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League title and to the 4A state title game.
Cranston was the lone Clark County player to be named to an all-state first team, although a couple of other locals players earned honorable mention — Woodland’s Bryce Mulder in Class 2A and La Center’s Jake Wise in Class 1A.
No Clark County girl earned all-state recognition.
Michael Porter Jr. of Nathan Hale was the state player of the year for all classifications among the boys.
