Ridgefield – The Clark County Sheriff’s Office will host an informational meeting about the agency’s reserve deputy program 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 3 at the agency’s West Precinct, 505 N.W. 179th St., in Ridgefield.

The meeting is meant for would-be volunteer reserve deputies curious about the program, including the testing and application processes.

The sheriff’s office reserve unit is made up of commissioned, volunteer law enforcement officers who do routine patrol assignments, respond to calls for service, protect crime scenes or handle large events, among other duties.

Those interested can also go to the reserve unit’s website, at www.clark.wa.gov/sheriff/reserve-unit, or send an email to cntysheriff.reserveunit@clark.wa.gov.
