Salmon Creek — A group of 12 people from Elevate Church spent some time last month volunteering in Oaxaca, Mexico. The group volunteered through Forward Edge International, a Vancouver-based relief and development organization.

The church raised funds to provide children with winter clothing, including sweatshirts and shoes. The group from Elevate went to Mexico to deliver the clothes and help build a sports court for the community. The group handed out clothing to more than 100 kids.

Forward Edge’s Oaxaca children’s program is a long-term community development and child-sponsorship initiative. For more information, visit www.forwardedge.org.
