Diamond Showcase: Curt Daniels Invitational begins

The 13th annual Curt Daniels Invitational baseball tournament got underway Thursday, featuring some of the top summer baseball teams in the Pacific Northwest.

The 12-team tournament features local teams Vancouver Cardinals and Showtime.

Showtime defeated Narrows 11-1 to open Thursday’s play at Propstra Stadium at Hudson’s Bay High School. The Vancouver Cardinals play at 7 p.m. Friday at Propstra.

Pool play games are split between Propstra Stadium and Concordia University in Portland. The semifinals and championship game are at Propstra on Monday.
