An inmate at the Clark County Jail is being treated at a local hospital for injuries that appear to be self-inflicted, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Corrections deputies discovered an adult male inmate unresponsive in his jail cell at about 3 p.m. Wednesday and called for help, the sheriff’s office reported.
Emergency medical care was immediately administered while emergency personnel responded to the jail, 707 W. 13th St., and transported the inmate to a local hospital. The sheriff’s office said they did not know his condition.
The inmate’s name and the reason for his incarceration were not released.
The incident is under investigation by detectives with the Clark County Major Crimes Unit.
