Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council.

For information on the following and other opportunities, call 360-735-3683.

• Evergreen Habitat for Humanity needs volunteers to help the family services manager during the application process for the homeownership program. Help complete financial reports, create spreadsheets, make phone calls and enter data. Training is provided.

• Free Clinic of SW Washington is seeking volunteers to help with patient registration, and patient intake at the urgent care clinic. Optometric volunteer technicians are also needed.

• Neighbors on Watch program with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for fall training. NOW volunteers, in teams of two, walk or drive their neighborhoods and, in a non-confrontational way, observe and report, and also act as role-players during trainings. A background check and training are required.

• Open House Ministries needs coffee shop and thrift store assistants, along with pick-up and delivery helpers. Volunteers who are able to restore or repair bicycles are needed at the bike shop.

• Silver Buckle Ranch seeks horse lovers, 13 and older, to assist with ranch chores, including cleaning stalls and grooming horses.

• Volunteer Connections seeks event-planning volunteers to help launch a signature fundraising event. A background in athletic or race events would be helpful.

YWCA Clark County will provide training for new volunteers, beginning July 5, for the Sexual Assault Program and the Clark County CASA Program. Volunteers must apply and be interviewed prior to beginning training. ywcaclarkcounty.org/volunteer; 360-906-9131; or info@ywcaclarkcounty.org
