Battle Ground offers free summer playground program

Battle Ground – Battle Ground will offer a free nine-week summer program offering recreational activities for parks for young children.

Battle Ground’s Summer Playground Program, every Wednesday and Thursday, offers activities for children ages 4 through 10. Each week has a different theme and children will be able to make at least one arts and crafts project to take home.

Sessions are held Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon at Kiwanis Park at 422 S.W. Second Ave. and from 2 to 4 p.m. at Horse Thief Park at the intersection of Southwest 12th Avenue and Southwest 11th Street.

Sessions are held Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon at Florence Robison Park at 1900 N.W. Ninth St. and from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cresap Park at 1911 S.E. Second Place.
