FIVE CORNERS — Sunset Elementary School was host for the Harvest of the Month campaign from Washington State University Extension’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education recently. This month’s featured ingredient was snap peas. More than 485 students tasted sweet peas provided by Denison Farms in Corvallis, Ore. Snap peas were featured on future lunch menus throughout elementary schools in Evergreen Public Schools this June.
