Vancouver – Windermere Stellar is holding a food drive through Wednesday for the Fruit Valley Foundation. It’s part of the company’s 33rd annual Community Service Day. Employees are collecting nonperishable foods such as packaged grains, vegetables, soups, chili, tuna, peanut butter and spaghetti sauce, as well as paper products and toiletries, such as a paper towels, toilet paper, toothpaste, soap and diapers.

Donations can be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Windermere’s Vancouver offices at 1200 S.E. Second Circle, Unit 205, or 210 E. 13th St., Suite 100. Donated money will be used to purchase food and goods for the foundation; checks should be made out to Windermere Foundation and dropped off at one of the offices.

The Fruit Valley Foundation uses the donations to support students and families at Fruit Valley Elementary School and ensure people are fed during the summer. About 85 percent of Fruit Valley students receive free or reduced-price school meals, according to the state’s Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Besides the food drive, Windermere Stellar is inviting the public to shred documents and recycle electronics now through Friday at its two offices.
