Camas – The Camas Farmers Market will open for its 10th year from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in front of the Camas Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. The opening day festivities will include a ribbon-cutting by Mayor Scott Higgins and a health fair, featuring Pure Wellness Chiropractic and 12 additional local health practitioners. There also will be free blood pressure checks and health screenings.
The market will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 4. In addition to fruits, vegetables and meat, the market also offers a Kid’s Connection booth which organizes a project to teach healthy food choices, nutrition and basic gardening.
