A Vancouver motorcyclist is in serious condition following a crash with another vehicle Sunday night in Camas.

Camas police officers and fire personnel were called to the intersection of Northwest Brady Road and Northwest 16th Avenue at about 8 p.m. Sunday for the crash, the Camas Police Department reported.

The motorcyclist involved in the crash, Christopher D. Lewis, 28, of Vancouver, was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

The driver of the other involved vehicle, Michaela Lenard, 18, of Camas stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.

A witness told police that the motorcyclist ran a stop sign, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation, Camas police said.

Detectives with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit are assisting in the investigation.
