A floating outhouse was heavily damaged in a fire at a private marina on Southeast 139th Avenue early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the area just before 2 a.m. and firefighters doused the blaze with help from crews aboard a fireboat.

The flames damaged the floating outhouse and a wave runner, and blistered some paint on a sailboat, causing an estimated $30,000 in damage, Vancouver Fire Marshal Heidi Scarpelli said. The damage from the fire was too extensive for investigators to conduct a complete and thorough investigation, Scarpelli said. As a result, the cause of the blaze is undetermined.
