The Vancouver Clinic is offering a two-hour prediabetes class with a certified diabetes educator.
The class is 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 12 at The Vancouver Clinic’s 87th Avenue office, 700 N.E. 87th Ave. The class costs $25 and preregistration is required. To register, call 360-882-2778.
The class is for anyone who has been diagnosed with prediabetes, impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance or metabolic syndrome.
A certified diabetes educator and registered dietitian will work with participants to create a meal plan and make a personal physical activity plan. Participants will also learn about the prediabetes diagnosis, how to reduce fat and to interpret a food label and develop a plan for reasonable weight loss.
