Lewis River senior Little League loses at regional

Faces loser out game against host team

SACRAMENTO — The Lewis River Little League senior baseball team lost 3-2 to Northern California champion Oakland Little League 3-2 Saturday night in the Little League Senior West Regional tournament at American River College.

Lewis River (1-1) next faces the host team, Sunrise Little League, at 7 p.m. Sunday in a loser-out contest.

Lewis River tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the fifth as Christian Yager scored on a single by Wyatt Autrey. Oakland broke the tie in the bottom of the sixth.

Autrey, Yager, Wyatt Wooden, Michael Gabalis and Bryce Graham each had a hit for Lewis River, which had its five-game winning streak snapped.
