Two people were injured in an Interstate 5 crash Sunday evening about three miles south of Ridgefield.

Erin Goodrich, 48, of Ridgefield was driving a 2001 Dodge Durango SUV north on the highway when she slowed for ducks on the roadway, according to Washington State Patrol.

Jesus Jacquez, 30, of Vancouver was also driving north on I-5 in a 2005 Honda Civic when he crashed into the Durango, state patrol reported.

Both Jacquez and Goodrich were taken to area hospitals where they were treated and released.

Troopers said that the crash was caused by Jacquez following too closely, but that charges in the investigation were still pending further investigation.
