Fire investigators were unable to determine what caused a Friday evening garage fire in the Cascade South East neighborhood.

Vancouver Fire Marshal Heidi Scarpelli said the fire, at 2804 S.E. Briarwood Drive, burned on the south outside wall of the garage and into the eaves, but not into the garage or attic space.

The building sustained about $21,000 in damage. The fire also did about $4,000 in damage to contents stored inside.

No one was hurt or displaced.
