PORTLAND — Good coffee, diverse food and a famous carpet helped propel Portland International Airport to the top spot in Travel + Leisure magazine’s list of best airports in the country.
The New York-based travel magazine released its list Tuesday. Portland International, managed by the Port of Portland, beat out Indianapolis International and Tampa International in Florida for the honor. The magazine cited readers raving about the airport’s shops, food and even its layout.
“Bar none, this airport has the best design and speedy check-in,” one reader wrote.
