The team of assessors coming to the county to review policy and operations at Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency, the county’s 911 service, are looking for public comments July 18.

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, a private and independent accrediting agency, sets 219 standards an agency must meet to retain its accreditation, according to a news release from CRESA.

CRESA’s accreditation is being reviewed for renewal, and agency staff and community members are invited to offer their input over the phone from 1:30 to 3 p.m. July 18. Phone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the 911 agency’s ability to comply with the accreditor’s standards. The number to call is 360-992-6274.

Written comments may be sent to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc., 13575 Heathcoat Blvd. Suite 320, Gainesville, VA, 22030-2215.

More information on the process or the standards is available by writing the above address or emailing calea@calea.org.
