Woodland — Katelyn Beuscher was named Miss Woodland 2017 at Woodland Planters Days last month. Beuscher, 16, likes golfing, shooting and playing the trumpet. She has been involved with Woodland High School’s trap team and golf team for four years, and has been involved with National Honor Society for two. Beuscher volunteered as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army and Make A Difference Day. “I have been taught that when someone is in need, you help them and have grown up in a family where community service is a large part of our every day lives,” she wrote in her application for Miss Woodland. “By helping others, it becomes a part of who you are and betters our community.”
