Fair association hands out college scholarships

Fairgrounds — The Clark County Fair Association named its 2017 scholarship recipients. Each year, the association awards scholarships to college-bound students, and has given out more than $525,000 since starting the fund in 1988 to help with tuition, books and other college costs. The scholarships are open to students who were actively involved in 4-H, Future Farmers of America or open class during a past Clark County Fair. The 2017 scholarship recipients are: Nadine Miller, Madison Thompson, Missy Watkins, Shaylee Coleman, Alexa Valdez, Megan Sawyer, Mackinnon Buck, Alexandria Weeks, Alyssa Peterson, William Martin, Aaron Tuchhardt, Grace Coder, Hunter Lindberg, Nicki Short, Spencer Gwinn, Kohl Yankovsky and Justin Bellcoff.
