A pleasant day is on tap after some morning clouds, with afternoon temperatures in the low 80s. Fireworks time at 10 p.m. will be fair, but with brisk northwest winds and temperatures in the 60s, so I suggest a light jacket.
Wednesday, we get into the bottom range of the hot category with afternoon highs around the 90-degree mark. Then, we enjoy summer highs in the 80s Thursday through the weekend. No rain in sight. We may have some marine intrusion for morning clouds here and there.
If you are heading to the ocean beaches this week, the forecast there includes the fair part of the forecast but mostly cloudy skies through the weekend due to an onshore flow of air. That doesn’t mean some locales won’t have some periods blue sky and sunshine.
I noticed areas of Eastern Washington and Oregon had red-flag warnings up. This indicates our fire danger is rising, and with windy and dry conditions, the fire potential is getting high. There was a wildfire burning near Hanford on Monday. Be careful with flames outside. Even here we have had some grass fires.
