Northeast Padden Parkway, from intersection with Northeast 78th Street east to Andresen Road, will close this weekend so the roadway can be repaired and paved, according to a news release from Clark County.

The road will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday until no later than 5 a.m. Monday.

The work depends on the weather.

During the closure, drivers can take alternative routes, including Northeast Minnehaha/63rd Street to the south and Northeast 88th Street to the north.

Northeast 78th Street also will be closed between Northeast St. Johns Road and Northeast Andresen Road however, local traffic will still have access to their properties.

Flaggers and signs will be in place.

C-Tran will also divert the Route 78 north to Northeast 88th Street, using Northeast St. Johns Road and Northeast Andresen Road, after 8 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.

The work is part of the county’s asphalt overlay program, which totals 26 lane miles.

Granite Construction Co. was awarded the $5.13 million contract for this year’s asphalt overlay program.
