Boys basketball: La Center 71, White Salmon 60

Jake Wise (game-high 21 points) and Hunter Ecklund (15) each scored 10 points apiece in the Wildcats’ 26-point first quarter as La Center kept pace in the 1A Trico League title race with their home victory over the Bruins.

Matt Baher added 18 points and Avery Seter chipped in 10 points as La Center improved to 12-3 overall and 6-1 in league play.

La Center also went 21 of 25 from the free-throw line.
