MacKenzie Ellertson scored 25 points, including all five of her team’s in overtime, as the Knights avenged a narrow loss from the previous night.

King’s Way coach Anthony Roberts credited the defense of Amber Kolb, Hannah Nichols and Hannah Moats. Together, they held White Salmon’s Kathiryn Hylton to eight points after she scored 14 the previous night.

Ellertson drove to the basket late in the game to draw fouls. She had 11 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter and overtime, making eight.

King’s Way (4-12, 1-7) earned its first Trico League win this season.

“We’re playing with more poise and confidence in the fourth quarter and overtime,” Roberts said.
