Alex Hegel scored 19 points as Mountain View hung with Kelso on the road.
Alex Bailey added 10 points as the Thunder (4-13, 1-6) kept pace with one of the 3A GSHL’s top teams.
“We put together some runs, but they had answers,” Mountain View coach Aaron Shepherd said. “We played solidly against a solid teams. We’re gaining confidence.”
Riley Noah scored 19 points to lead Kelso (14-3, 6-1). The Hilanders shot 25 free throws and made 16, while Mountain View was 4 for 6 from the line.
