Washougal — The Camas-Washougal Historical Society has received a $5,220 grant through the Clark County Historic Preservation program that will be used to refurbish and repair several historical musical instruments: an Arion square grand piano, circa 1886; a Bond player piano, circa 1921; a Cornish & Co. pump organ, circa 1910, and an antique child’s pump organ.

The grant was funded by a $1 surcharge on Clark County Planning Commission filings. The instruments will eventually be on display at Two Rivers Heritage Museum, 1 Durgan St., Washougal. The museum currently is closed for winter maintenance and display upgrades. It will re-open in March, and Jim Cobb, president of the historical society, is hopeful that all the instruments will be repaired by then. For more information about the museum, visit www.2rhm.com.
