CLARK COUNTY – Middle school and high school students are invited to submit thank-you letters, essays or poems describing their favorite teachers to the Barnes & Noble “My Favorite Teacher Contest,” awarded by the bookseller this spring.

Essays will be collected by schools and should, in 500 words or fewer, describe why the teacher is appreciated and how he or she has influenced the writer’s life.

Any school employee from grades pre-K through grade 12 is an eligible nominee. The Barnes and Noble National Teacher of the Year will be chosen from among local and regional winners.

More details may be found at www.bn.com/myfavoriteteacher or by emailing crm2679@bn.com.
