West Vancouver — Lucy, a rescued basset hound, is receiving love and support from around the world after being diagnosed with cancer for the second time. After her first diagnosis, Lucy underwent chemotherapy and seemingly beat the disease, but it returned. Now, Meghan Pratt is asking for help with Lucy’s medical expenses through GoFundMe, and is asking for people all over to take pictures of themselves holding up a sign that reads “I Stand with Lucy Against Cancer” with a picture of the dog. So far, their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/lucybeatingcancer, has received photos of people holding the sign all around the globe, including from Japan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and New Zealand.
