Tickets are available for the 25th annual Friends of NRA banquet scheduled for March 18 at the Clark County Event Center.
Tickets cost $55 per person and include a dinner and membership in the National Rifle Association. Table packages are available, including some that include a firearm or Yeti cooler.
The Southwest Washington Friends’ committee is one of four in the state that is having its 25th annual event.
The National Rifle Association Foundation allocates half of the net proceeds to finance projects within the state the money was raised and the other half to projects with a national scope.
A year ago, the local committee netted $26,000. The state grant committee allocated more than $266,000 for projects in Washington in 2016.
Local grant recipients during the Southwest Washington committee’s 25 years include the Vancouver Rifle and Pistol Club, Wolverton Mountain Gun Club, Battle Ground and Prairie high school junior ROTC group, Clark County Competitive Shooters and various local 4H clubs.
Money from Friends of NRA events help support local gun ranges and youth organizations.
Among the items to be auctioned or raffled at the March 18 event include a Daniel Defense M4 Carbine V7, custom Ruger Vaquero .45 Colt revolver, Henry Big Boy Silver Lever Action .44 rifle and a Sig Sauer P320 Compact 9mm with the NRA logo.
Besides firearms, the will be a big assortment of Yeti coolers, a flag fiddle autographed by Charlie Daniels, Zeiss binoculars and more.
Doors will open at 4 p.m., with dinner served at 7 p.m.
