Oregon aquarium teaches students about tide pool creatures

Bagley Downs — The Oregon Coast Aquarium paid a visit to students at Roosevelt Elementary School for an interactive assembly Jan. 26. The theme was tide pool animals, such as anemones, barnacles and starfish. Students learned how they eat, live and survive in the sea. They also got to dress up like some of the animals and danced the “Tidepool Tango.” The event was hosted by the Vancouver Sunrise Rotary Club.
